September 28 - Switched On

Join us on Thursday, September 28th for Basic Electricity #22 with Michael Vorfeld and Wouter Jaspers at the König Otto in Berlin, Neukölln.

Michael Vorfeld treats us to his Glühlampenmusik, an audio-visual performance using sounds that are generated by different light bulbs and electric switches, made audible by microphones and pick-ups. His buzzing, flickering, rhythmic music could be the definition of basic electricity.

We’re very happy to welcome Wouter Jaspers back for his second appearance at Basic Electricity. The Koma Elektronik head-honcho and Vatican Analog artist uses field recordings and synth textures to make music that is at times delicate and brutal.

König Otto is housed in the former Kindl brewery. It’s a unique space with a great ambient sound. Sunset is at 18:50 on September 28th - we’re looking forward to seeing you when the lights go on for Basic Electricity #22!
